Smoky is an Italian Saddlebred horse, an excellent worker, especially in jumping. Unfortunately, in 2022 he contracted a virus (herpes virus) that affected his neurological system, limiting the movement of his hind legs. This meant he could no longer perform activities, which is why he came to the shelter, retired.
Affectionate, curious, sometimes timid and touchy.
He enjoys good health; his main medicine is love and daily attention. He has a sensitive stomach; significant temperature fluctuations or drastic changes in his routine can cause gastritis, which must be treated with specific medication. He has no special needs.
He is very social, does not like to be alone, and in fact loves company and human contact. He gets along well with other animals, showing particular affection for his goat friends and his neighbor Bart.
