Projects We Are Working On

1. Welcoming Skin: Welcome, Skin! 🐶🐑
We are delighted to welcome Skin into the big Isimuni family! This extraordinary shepherd dog has been donated to the shelter to help us with the grazing of our sheep and goats, carrying out with passion and dedication the work he was born to do. Thanks to his presence, our animals can move safely and live peacefully in the pastures.
A precious gift that provides great support to the shelter and stands as an example of harmony between humans, nature, and animals. 💛

2. Pasture Fence Reconstruction and Expansion Project
To ensure the well-being of our animals and a more sustainable resource management approach, we have launched a project to rebuild and expand the pasture fence. The new enclosure will be divided into sections, allowing for controlled pasture rotation, which will promote grass regrowth and provide more space for the animals.
This solution will not only improve the quality of life for our residents but will also allow us to harvest hay directly from our own land, significantly reducing annual purchasing costs. A crucial step toward making the shelter increasingly self-sufficient! 🐑🌱

3. Forest Area Cleanup Coming Soon.
With the arrival of spring, we will begin the cleanup work in the forested area that has been granted to us, where new trees will be planted. To facilitate the work, we will need a small tractor/ATV to transport the cut and collected wood, making operations in the forest more efficient.
These efforts will create a new safe grazing area for our animals, giving them more freedom and a larger environment to roam and feed. Another important step toward improving the shelter and enhancing the well-being of our residents! To facilitate the work, with generous support, we purchased a small ATV/tractor! 🌳🐑

4. PURCHASE NEIGHBORING FIELD FOR GRAZING 🐶🐑
We have the great opportunity and challenge to purchase the land that we currently lease for the animals to graze and exercise. The farmer who owns the adjacent field that we use wishes to sell this land.
If we are able to make this purchase, Casa Isimuni will have the chance to plan for future needs in new ways - and support our animals’ needs to graze. We have the chance to purchase this field over the next 5 years for a total purchase price of $35,000.
Together, with your support, we believe we can achieve this tremendous goal, before the deadline, with the help of monthly donations that begin with pledges today.

Would you like to pledge monthly support toward the land?
3 gifts of $100/month for the next 5 years - along with 3 gifts of $50/month for the next five years - and 5 gifts of $20/month, combined with 60 individual gifts of $50 spread out over this same period - will attain our goal - as an example.
We are seeking some combination of support such as this.
Will you consider a gift today? Pledges can be made to Lettie Haver via WhatsApp and gifts to @isimuni on PayPal.

Thank you for giving the gift of life today! 💛
